Print Custom Content Floor Tiles with a Kiln

You can now create your very own Custom Floor Tiles by Firing them in a Kiln!
Here’s how to use it:
- The first step is to create some Custom Floor Tiles using the Custom Content panel under the Shopping & Gifts Panel. You will need to purchase at least one stack of tiles.
- You will then need to create a DVD that contains the patterns for that tile. To do that drag your stack of tiles into the center of a 3D Scanner and scan them - note that in order to drag the stack you need to hold down the CTRL and ALT key while you drag the stack from your inventory. Don’t forget that the 3D Scanner will destroy the item it is scanning so best to use a stack with only 1 tile left in it so you don’t waste any. Also note that you can only scan Custom Floor Tiles which you are the author of.
- Once you have the DVD you can then load it into a DVD Player hooked up to the Kiln as in the following example.
- Floor tiles require a mix of glass, plastic, and soil in order to be created. Select “Load Materials” from the Kiln’s Action Menu and load the required materials. Note that the appropriate recycle bins need to be present on the lot.
- Once your DVD player is connected with a DVD loaded, and your battery harness is connected with a charged battery loaded, and your materials are loaded, you can then “Start Firing” your Custom Floor Tiles. When the firing is complete it will put the newly created stack of Custom Floor Tiles into your inventory. With one DVD you will be able to create 10 stacks of Custom Floor Tiles.

Introducing Beta Version of the Recycling Station
Convert your trash into other commodities except for food. A little bit of trash will be converted every 30 seconds, however, it can often just go back to trash. Your Mental value (Mv) will go down and your Mental capacity (Mc) will go up while doing this work. Occasionally, you might get lucky and find TAU while recycling the trash. Your chances of getting lucky improve as your Mc increases.
This is an early release of this feature. In debugging, we noticed that when two players are selecting different interactions, you might find yourself in a strange state. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and clear out the action queue. Use at your own risk in other words!
Here’s how to use it:
- Connect a battery source. The recycle station requires a little bit of electricity per cycle.
- Place trash recycling bin in front of the conveyor belt
- Select the ‘Retrieve Trash’ interaction on the Recycle Station. Do this quite a few times, it can hold up to 20 trash bags
- Select ‘Sort Trash’ to start the process of separating the trash. This takes awhile. Mousing over the Recycle Station will show you the status of the components being produced
- Once you have whole units of components produced, select ‘Extract Components’ to extract the units of components (wood, soil, etc.). You will see these put into your bins on your lot if you have them or put into your inventory. Partial units will stay in the Recycle Station until you recycle enough to make 1 full unit.
- Selet Stop at any time to stop the sorting

LOVE the recycling station! It’s a LOVELY idea.
Thanks for this, guys! Totally better than burning the trash for energy, or something rather blah like that… I love this idea ton more!!
Also, lovely kiln idea…! I’m going to have to get started in the floor-making realm soon.
We could really use some fabulous-looking hardwood floors… And some plush carpets! And linoleum!!

I’m already recycling and already see one major problem or drawback. We cant do anything else while the machine is recycling. Perhaps if there was some action that made it appear like we were doing something other than standing there staring this would make more sense. But right now as I said huge drawback. Also, check out Qute Pi’s pictue in the persona web wearing a bathing suit. She has this weird inverted V going on in her crotch, (sorry to point this out in print qute pi lol). Our bodies are definitely looking better, but whatever going on there is a problem, and also I think our hips are still jsut too wide. More of a gradual widening to the hips is needed.

I love the new trash sorting machine! I love the “element of surprise”, that you can get lucky and get a bit of money, and that it seems to randomize which resources you get. I knew all that trash would come in handy.
I’ll try it more later.
A suggestion to make it even nicer could be that you could find something else in the trash. Who knows what could be in there? Maybe as a special event you could add ONE huge diamond or something like that to the trash and the person who finds it gets fame and fortune, hehe. It’s already nice though.
It’s nice that we can once again see the text on gotos (and I assume, price the gotos and click on teleporters). One unexpected side effect is however that we can’t X out anything in the action queue now, or it will make a “go here” action in the queue so the “go heres” can’t be X:ed out, another always appears when you X out the previous. But that’s minor.
I’m also interesting in finding out how the garbage sorting affects your Bad/Good carbon footprint.
Does making biofuel add to bad carbon? Or is it just the burning of it?
I saw some notes about making vehicles on the wiki, that would also be a cool use of the biofuel.
And Qute’s crotch looked a bit nasty.

How much energy is supposed to be used for each .1 bag of trash? Mine seems to work erratically, using different amounts. Is this as designed?

Raisin, I know making biofuel has no effect on carbon footprint, + or -. Don’t know about trash sorting, yet.

I think…if the trash recycler is supposed to say Tirnua on those thingys…i dont know what to call them lol in the picture , it is spelled wrong lol
When you rotate, its spells Tiru and then rotate again it says una which makes me think it says TIRUNA :O

It’s okay, Groovy came to the conclusion that they’re supposed to read Tuna.
So I’m guessing that those barrel things hold the tuna that’s found in the trash… which we won’t be able to retrieve until they make us a tuna-harvesting machine!

The machine seems very bugged at the moment, I’ll wait with getting rid of more trash until later. Even though I am running it myself I lose the materials after a while. But the initiative is nice once the quirks are worked out of it

I agree with Cutsie that when our avies run the trash recyclers, they should be able to do something else except stand there - like the boiler set up. Also, seems that it doesn’t take long at all for the mental value to go down and then the process stops on the trash recycler. Would think that our avies could be more persistant between breaks…plus there aren’t that many options to build mental value back up except eating and resting. Pretty lazy if you ask me to take a break every 5-10 minutes.

It started to make hissing noises and I swear it almost chopped my head off! … Okay, not really. I dunno what I did, but it stopped working when I tried to use it.

Actually guys, you can do other things while running the trash machine. It seems to be a sort of bug that the character just stands there.
When I had used it for a little while I could just go stand on the side and it would work itself. I could fill it with 20 trash at a time, so it would have worked for a long time on its own if it hadn’t bugged and reset. So I think it will be fine once it works better.

Yes. I have had no problem just canceling the “start sorting” interaction and letting the machine run by itself. Finally, there is a use for my blue vegetables.:) I knew the day would come! Time for a balanced diet, folks.

Omigosh, I love this update! Finally we can get rid of all the trash, but will the actual bins disappear to ? That would be awesome if that’s the case. I haven’t tried this one out yet. Im not sure what I think of the kiln yet, doesn’t look very yummy to be honest
But the santa hat is great 
The costume could be better though, at the back it looks weird to be honest. There’s a hole that looks like sunburned skin at the back.

Hey, Manssom..I have recycled three bins of trash and then recylced the empty bins…doesn’t give you anything in return but it did boost my avies mental value quite a bit. A good thing cause mental value goes down quick when running the trash recycler.

OK, after fooling with this for a couple of days, I see that it is not going to make much of a dent in my pile of trash. Too slow. I don’t know how everyone else feels, but I would like to see higher sorting speeds, maybe balanced by fewer resources recovered per trash bag. Of course, there is still the landfill option.

Or maybe have high, medium and low speeds to select. More efficient sorting at low speeds, but more volume processed on “high.”

I don’t want fewer resources per trash bag. It’s already very low in my opinion.
Only 1/10 of ONE resource… That’s almost nothing.
I stood there for a long time and all I got was 1 soil, then it seemed to reset.
But the thing I wanted to say:
I still can’t change the text on a Goto arrow. Even in recycle mode, if I click on a Goto arrow, it just goes there and I get teleported. I want to be able to change the text.

It’s 1/10 of one resource per 1/10 of a bag right now, so really 1:1 ratio. But I will never keep up with the trash generated unless I buy multiple sorters and eat like a pig.

I thin the trash machine is great
I’ve got plenty of materials already and I used like 20 bags of trash, I also got some Biofuel :O
But it’s very hard on Mental :/ A little to hard I think

And I also discovered that you don’t have to stand by the machine while it’s sorting the trash. It keeps going even if you delete the interaction in the list. That’s fabolous
Because it takes like forever :O
