Barbeque Up Some Corn for the 4th!

That’s right the barbeques are usable now! Just add some wood and corn and off you go. Mind you, as the wood burns it will emit CFP but the corn you eat will give you an incredible boost in your Physical Value (Pv).
One bundle of wood will burn for about 10 minutes and you can add more corn as the wood is still burning but all the previous corn must be eaten before you can cook some more. Each bushel of corn (8 cobs) will take about 2 minutes to cook.
Buy one of these BBQs from the Decoration Store or dig your old one out of your inventory - all existing BBQs in the world cook corn now.
Look for these cool colors coming soon to the Player Stores as our manufacturers out there start rolling them out from their printers. These are the rares that only can be printed.
We created these objects for our New Player Startup Kits but anybody can purchase them in the Energy Store. The Wood Burning Generator is for New Players who select the ‘Easy’ mode of gameplay and the Soil Bio-fuel Generator is for those who select the ‘Medium’ mode. The hand crank will continue to be given to those opting for the ‘Hard’ mode of gameplay.
Other
- New Startup Photo Albums for new Players. Now when a new player comes into the game, these photo albums will appear whereby the player can thumb through them to quickly grasp what to do. These Photo Albums will be available on the Help Tab soon.
- Friends Feed Tab - your friend’s feeds have been added to the Feed Floater Panel
- Live updates for My Feeds and My Friend’s Feeds. You probably have noticed these already and that you can comment on them.
Fixes
- Player store listings are ranked by resident rating vs. object count now
- Facebook frame bug - is now working again and should work for new players
- Fixed teleporter bug - all players on the lot would be magically whisked away whenever anyone clicked on a lot deed or roommate key and selected the goto lot action.

Happy Independence Day! I like the new BBQs, do the special colors give a bigger boost? The friends feeds are not showing on the My Stuff/Friends tab. However they are popping up every few seconds in the homeviewer. We need a way to turn these off.

love the new bbq but im trying to buy 25 for the store and i get charge 1747tau for one it wont let me buy 25 they dissapear in the vip store when you get one

It tells me 1,4044 without tax and 1,5168 with the tax for 25 @ 25% discount. I can’t find them in the VIP store at all. I will buy them for you if you want. I would think they would let us buy them in the VIP store.

They disappeared from VIP store just now.
I bought 25 the same as Cherry and got the same problem. I suppose that’s why they yanked them from VIP?

GREAT stuff:
- That all old grills cook corn too. I like that they weren’t made obsolete.
- That we can type silly comments. We are gonna say so many stupid things we regret later. Hehe.
- That we can make FB frames (haven’t tested yet)
- Like that friends feeds go into the floater, better use for that floater now. (The feeds still need to be pushed there all the time since now it won’t update, and as Simone says, when relogging it goes blank and still won’t update)
Not so great stuff:
- The overly simplified store listing. It’s a step in the right direction but it’s not complete

There are serious problems with lag and things disappearing. A lot of people are logging off.

I can’t stay on the treadmill without falling off. The plants will not reproduce then after relog they are gone. After another relog they are back.

I love those grills and to be able to actually use the corn for eating!
Burning corn for biofuel somehow went against my “upbringing”… lol… I have trouble burning up food and corn in the biofuel machine. There are children starving in Africa you know.
The start of us being able to COOK food! Woot!
Next step stoves and food storage!
Also another next step could be (since I see the grill has cfp on the corn) that human waste could be used for fertilizer. That would really be nice, then we would get organic fertilizer. There was a blog a long time ago that linked to things real companies were doing with human waste. Sure it sounds like a joke but in RL poop is used for composts. It takes 2 years for it to become soil, so maybe if we had special outhouses for that they could have containers that need to “mature” for a while before being used in the garden. In real life they have outhouses with 2 containers, one is used and the other one is sitting there becoming compost that can be used.
Some might not be aware that everyone is able to cook their own corn on the BBQ!
We need to have a 4th of July party where everyone brings their own corn and we have a great time. We could have Liars Dice or Bingo. If I have time I can try to set that up. I’ll get to working on that.
The graphic on that new burner is top notch. Nice.
Having those new items for noobs to try out would work well with a quest chain where you can choose “good or evil” on each step of the chain.

Yay for some bbq’ing, I’ve wanted to cook for so long! I can’t wait till y’all come up with more ideas to use my BBQ with. Speaking of cooking, I would love to use my coffee for other recipes like Jamocha shakes, espresso drinks (mocha, cappuccino, late, Frappaccino’s, etc). Can’t wait to see what y’all have up your sleeves regarding that! ^-^

Sorry for the inconvenience folks, we did indeed have a problem with the VIP Store over the weekend and the BBQs did disappear. The BBQs are once again for sale in the VIP Store and at a better bargain price too.

aqua = 1 in 2
purple = 1 in 3
lime = 1 in 15
yellow = 1 in 30
pink = 1 in 50
